Peripheral vision?

A new site for the New Year. Destination unknown. A mystery tour, even for the driver…

The basic premise: to have a place to share work that doesn’t fit easily into, or adds complimentary information to,  my main “portfolio” website – work in progress, experiments, bits and pieces gathered here and there, snapshots, even a little technique. Maybe a discussion from time to time.

And in French? Well, yes, I do live in France and most of my clients, friends and contacts are here – so why is this in English? Because, although my spoken French is good, I usually have someone check anything I write. I’m extremely critical of text badly translated into English from French; why should I be less rigorous in the opposite direction?

Writing takes me a surprisingly long time, translating would take even longer. One day’s photo shoot generates at least another day of post-production work. Video is even more (crazily more) time-consuming. There are simply too few hours in the day to do everything…

Anyway, there’s Google Translation or Babel Fish for the time being and if enough people (or even just one very persuasive person !) contact me to ask for a French version perhaps we’ll go bilingual…
